Wizkid is the greatest Nigerian artist of our generation and it's not close

I have been listening to Nigerian music since the days of Fela and King Sunny Ade. I have watched us evolve from juju music to afrobeat to what we have now. And I am telling you, Wizkid has done what no other Nigerian artist has done. He took our sound to the Grammys, he collaborated with Drake and Beyoncé, he sold out the O2 Arena multiple times. The boy from Surulere put Nigeria on the global map in a way that nobody else has.

Davido is good, don't get me wrong. Burna Boy has his own achievements. But Wizkid's catalog from 2010 till now is unmatched. From 'Holla at Your Boy' to 'Made in Lagos' to 'More Love Less Ego', the man keeps evolving. He doesn't need to shout or fight online. His music speaks. When I hear 'Ojuelegba' I feel something that no other song gives me. That is the mark of a true legend.

If you think another Nigerian artist has done more for our music globally, who is it and what exactly have they done that Wizkid hasn't?
