Trump says US ended Christian genocide in Nigeria. Which one?

So yesterday Donald Trump came out and said the US has ended Christian genocide in Nigeria. I saw the headline and I just had to laugh. Abi which Christian genocide exactly? Because the way things are in this country, I don't know if he is talking about the same Nigeria we dey live.

According to the statement, Trump claimed his administration has successfully stopped the persecution of Christians in our country. But I am sitting here in Ibadan and I can tell you, the security situation has not changed one bit. Farmers and herders still dey fight. Bandits still dey kidnap for ransom. And nobody is checking religion when they are collecting money for release.

This kind of statement only shows how disconnected these international politicians are from our reality. They make these big claims that don't match what we experience on the ground. I am not saying the US hasn't done anything, but to claim they have ended something that most Nigerians don't even agree exists in the way they describe it? That one is stretch.
