Trump says he hit terrorists hard to save Christians in Nigeria

So I just saw this headline from Vanguard yesterday and I had to read it twice. Donald Trump said his administration 'hit terrorists hard to save Christians in Nigeria.' This man really came out and made it sound like he was the one fighting Boko Haram for us.

Let me break it down. Trump was talking about his time in office and he specifically mentioned going after terrorists in Nigeria to protect Christians. The thing is, during his tenure the US did step up airstrikes and intelligence sharing in the Northeast. But the way he framed it as 'saving Christians' when Boko Haram has been killing Muslims too, it just feels like he is playing the religion card for his base.

I remember when he put Nigeria on the travel ban list in 2017. That one hit us hard. Now he wants to claim he was our savior. The question is, do you think Trump actually cares about Nigerian Christians or is this just another campaign speech where he uses Africa as a prop?
