I paid a babalawo to keep my boyfriend and now I regret everything
4 months ago
Last year I was losing my mind over this guy, Tunde. He was pulling away, not picking calls, always giving excuses. My friend took me to a babalawo in Mushin. The man gave me this soap and powder, said to bathe with it and put the powder in his food. I did it.
Omo, the change was instant. Tunde started calling me nonstop, bringing me gifts, talking about marriage. At first I was happy. But slowly I noticed he wasn't himself anymore. He looked tired, lost weight, stopped seeing his friends. He was just... there. Like a robot.
I broke it off after 4 months. Told him I was moving to Abuja. He cried like a baby. The guilt is still heavy. I took his free will and I can't give it back. The babalawo warned me there is always a price. Now I don't know if the price is still coming or if I'm already paying it.
