My tenant just sent me a court summons on WhatsApp

See ehn, I dey tell you, the law is not something you play with. I got a message this morning from my tenant, one young man who has not paid rent for five months. Instead of calling me to discuss, he sent a picture of a court summons. He is taking me to court for harassment. Me, a Chief Registrar.

The funny thing is, I have not even stepped foot in that property since January. My wife is the one who goes to collect rent. But the law says if you distress for rent without following proper procedure, you can be liable. So now I have to defend myself in court. Na wa oh.
