South Africa don start Chidimma Adetshina deportation process o. The former Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 was arrested in Cape Town on June 9 for allegedly residing in the country illegally. She appeared before the Cape Town Regional Court and was released on a warning, with her next court date set for July.

According to court documents from immigration officer Adrian Jackson, the Department of Home Affairs traced her and her minor son and found they had no valid immigration status. The minister of home affairs, Leon Schreiber, said in March that he rejected her request for a review after she was notified in September 2024 that her South African identity documents would be revoked. Schreiber stated, 'The department notified you of its intention in September 2024, and you failed to respond. On 20 September 2024, you were issued a Nigerian passport number whilst in Nigeria. You then applied for a South African visitor's visa, but your application was rejected because you submitted a fraudulent bank statement. You did not appeal the rejection.'

This is just two years after her Nigerian heritage caused serious backlash during the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant. She later won Miss Universe Nigeria and represented us at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico. Now she's facing deportation and her son's status is also affected because it's linked to hers. This girl's life don turn upside down. Na wa o.
