My sister in Ibadan just paid N975 for fuel, she say e dey reduce small

My sister just called me from Ibadan this morning. She say she go fill her generator and the price don drop to N975 per litre. Last month she was paying N1,150. I tell her make she enjoy it while it last because with Nigeria, one week you dey happy, next week the price don fly again.

I remember when I was still in Ibadan before I japa in 2008, fuel was around N70. My father used to complain then. God, if he see this N975 he go just weep. The thing is, even with this reduction, the common man still dey suffer. Transport no come down. Food no come down. Only the fuel price dey do small dance but everything else stay stubborn.

My colleague here in Peckham, she be Ghanaian, she say over there their fuel don reach equivalent of N1,200. So e be like West Africa problem. But abeg, if this reduction continue, maybe by December we go see N800. A girl can dream. Anybody don see any station selling lower than N975 for real?
