My grandmother called me Chiamaka and I almost cried

So my grandmother in the village called me this morning. She don't have WhatsApp so she used my cousin's phone. First thing she said was 'Chiamaka, when are you coming to see me?'

I haven't been home in 2 years. The shame hit me like a truck. I've been sending her money every month thinking that's enough but she doesn't want my money. She wants to see me. She wants to cook for me.

I booked a bus ticket for next weekend. Lagos to the village. No excuses this time. The thing is, we are all running from something and calling it hustle.
