Flood don collect our work today, God abeg

I woke up this morning and checked my phone, first thing I see na flooding video for Lagos Island. Shops under water, people dey carry their goods for head like dem never see sun before. My own area for Yaba no too bad so far, but I get colleague wey dey work for Iddo, she say the water don enter her shop since yesterday night. She dey try save her stock, but e no easy.

The thing wey dey worry me pass be say this same Lagos wey get one of the biggest economies for Africa, we still dey suffer flood every year. And every year na the same story: government go promise, nothing change. Meanwhile, the rain wey fall for three days don scatter many small businesses for places like Oshodi and Mushin. My tailor wey dey Mushin tell me say im machine don spoil because water enter im shop. Na so im work for the month finish.

I no fit blame God because na man wey no plan cause this wahala. But I just dey wonder how many people go fit survive another month like this. In this economy where fuel price still high and market no better, flood just come add to our suffering. Shebi na so we go dey manage?
