Police say those Katsina video men are not bandits, na vigilante. Who go believe?

My people, I just dey laugh. The police come out to say that video wey dey everywhere showing police with armed men for Katsina, na lie. According to Force PRO CSP Anietie Iniedu, those men na members of Vigilante Group of Nigeria and registered hunters supporting security operations for Musawa and Matazu LGAs. Not bandits.

But the thing wey dey worry me be say the same police they talk about keyboard warriors spreading misinformation. Dem say false narratives can distort facts, trigger public anxiety, and even embolden criminals. I understand their point o. But the problem be say Nigerians don see too many things with their own eyes for this country. When police say one thing and the video show another thing, who you go believe?

This POCACOV initiative they talk about to save youths from cultism and other vices, I hope it work. But until the police start acting like the people we can trust, every video wey come out go make us question everything. The economy hard, misinformation plenty, and truth dey suffer. Make we just dey careful with what we share.
