NaijaHub, my tenant just called me a wicked man for serving him quit notice

I dey tell you, the things I see for this Lagos no be small. My tenant, one young man wey I collect rent from for three years, just tell me say I be wicked man because I serve him quit notice. He say he no get money to pay the new rent because the economy is hard. I tell am, my brother, I dey feel you, but I also get bills to pay. The landlord for my own house don increase my rent too. Na so life be.

See ehn, the law is clear. If you enter agreement, you must follow the terms. But as a human being, I also know say things are tough. I gave him two extra months, no interest, just to help. He still dey call me wicked. I ask myself, if I no serve him notice, who go pay my own rent? The court no go pity me when my own landlord come for my head.

I just want to know, if you be landlord, how you dey handle tenants wey no fit pay? Or you think I should just let am stay for free until he find money?
