My landlord just called me 'house girl' for asking about my rent receipt

Omo this morning I woke up ready to conquer the world. I had my smoothie, my playlist, I was in my element. Then my landlord knocks on my door at 8am, saying I should have paid my rent for next quarter by now. I said, 'Sir, I paid for this quarter, I just want the receipt.'

This man looked at me and said, 'You young girls, una too know book. When I was your age I was not disturbing my landlord for receipt.' I just stood there in my pajamas holding my phone. I asked him again, 'Please sir, the receipt.' He said, 'I will bring it when I bring it. You are not the only tenant.' Then he walked off.

I am not saying anything. But the way I am calculating if I should find a new apartment or just fight this man with the law. The thing is, I know my rights. But in Lagos, knowing your rights and exercising them are two different conversations.
