I just calculated what I spend on petrol weekly and my eye don clear

See my brother, I was sitting down this morning doing my books for the shop and I decided to calculate exactly what I spend on fuel for my generator and my car. Omo, the number nearly make me drop my phone. I am running a small generator for my phone charging point and another one for the shop light, plus I drive a tokunbo Camry that drinks fuel like palm wine. When I added everything, I am spending almost ₦85,000 every week on petrol alone. That is ₦340,000 in one month. Chai.

And the funny thing is that the analyst wey talk say petrol price no go ease fast, I believe am. Because look at the countries wey get cheap petrol, Nigeria no even make the top 10 list. We are paying premium for something we supposed to be producing ourselves. But I no go cry. I just ordered a small inverter setup from my guy in Onitsha. Solar battery plus panel, one time investment. I calculate my break even point, after 5 months the thing don pay for itself. After that, pure profit.

Every problem in this country na business opportunity. If fuel expensive, find alternative. If food expensive, start planting. God give us brain to survive, not to complain. Who else don calculate their fuel cost and nearly faint?
