So the government is finally touching the NYSC after 52 years, swapping military leadership for civilians, extending orientation to 6 weeks, and giving us a new uniform. They say it's all about skills, digitalisation, and a $1 trillion economy. But will a new uniform and longer camp really solve the fact that corps members are still being posted to unsafe areas and struggling with unpaid allowances? Or is this just a rebranding exercise to make the scheme look busy?
