Sowore just said what we all think but fear to shout

Omoyele Sowore came out from Kuje prison after that N200 million bail and went straight to Arise TV to say Nigeria never became a democratic nation. Just a transition to civil rule, not real democracy. The man has been locked up for saying things about Tinubu and he still came out talking. That is either madness or pure courage.

He said the military left us with a constitution we don't know how it was written and called that democracy. Meanwhile we have people in Aso Rock who think freedom of speech means you can talk as long as you don't mention their names. Sowore said limitations on free speech should be by law, not by the people in power. Abi which law says you can arrest a man for speaking at a conference?

Some people will say Sowore is just a troublemaker, that he should have kept quiet after bail. But be honest, if we cannot say the truth about our own country, wetin be democracy again?
