Wizkid fans are lying to themselves about Made in Lagos

I said what I said. Wizkid's Made in Lagos album is good but it is not his best work. Everybody was jumping when it dropped because of lockdown boredom and Essence blowing internationally. But go back and listen to Superstar or Ayo. Those albums had hunger. Made in Lagos is a vibe album for people who want to sleep during a party.

Davido's A Better Time dropped same year and nobody wants to have that conversation. The man dropped Femi, Jowo, The Best , all songs with structure and energy. Wizkid gave us slow jams and called it growth. I am not saying the album is bad. I am saying the hype is disproportionate to the content. If any other artist released that album una for say dem dey try too hard to be international.

Which Wizkid album is actually his best work? Because if you say Made in Lagos I know you are just following the crowd.
