Boko Haram still holds 36 students after Borno attack
4 months ago
BREAKING: Government Day Secondary School Lassa in Askira/Uba LGA Borno State has released the names of 36 NECO candidates still held by Boko Haram after Monday's attack. The school confirmed 25 female and 11 male students are still in captivity.
Documents from the school show the students were writing their NECO exams when the terrorists stormed the community on motorcycles disguised as soldiers. One teacher, one soldier and a local hunter were killed trying to stop the abduction. Only 7 victims have been rescued so far - 5 female students and 2 teachers.
The students are between 15 and 18 years old. This attack happened barely a day after another kidnapping in the same Askira/Uba axis where women working on farms were taken. How many times must this happen before our leaders do something?
