Omo I just dey look this NERC report and e sweet me small. 357,495 meters for Q1 2026 na the highest we don see in five quarters. Benin DisCo carry 20% of the work, Abuja DisCo follow with 14%. Even Kaduna DisCo wey people dey complain about jump 119% from last quarter. So something dey happen o.

But the real gist na the Federal Government DISREP program. Dem put $500 million World Bank money for this thing, install 129,224 meters through that scheme alone. 36% of all meters for Q1 come from DISREP. Another 118,681 through MAP, 97,992 through MAF. So e be like say dem don finally start to take metering serious.

But my brother, I still get question. If meter dey come, why our estimated bill still dey wound us? Why light still dey disappear for 12 hours? Meter na good thing but we need the power to match am. Otherwise we go just dey look meter wey no dey count anything. Abeg make dem finish the job quick quick.
