APC Drops Bombshell: Wanted Criminals Hiding in Adeleke's Government House

The Osun State APC has rejected Governor Ademola Adeleke's response to allegations that wanted criminals are being sheltered in the Government House, calling his denial evasive. The party's Director of Media, Kola Olabisi, said in a statement on Saturday that a viral video shows a wanted suspect leading his group into a room within the Government House, and photographs allegedly show the governor with political thugs at public functions. Olabisi also claimed that some individuals on the police wanted list have been appointed as political functionaries by Adeleke.

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, during his visit to the Government House on Friday, stated that intelligence indicated wanted criminals were being harboured there. The APC is demanding full accountability, while the governor's camp, through Director Jamiu Olawumi, has dismissed the claims as baseless and an attempt to smear the police. Olawumi argued that police officers stationed at the Government House would have reported any criminal activity if the allegations were true.

This is not a small matter. If the IGP himself is raising this concern, then the question is simple: who exactly is hiding inside the Government House, and why is the governor refusing to open the doors for a proper investigation?
