Ali Modu Sheriff says North won't vote Peter Obi, Atiku should wait till 2031

Ali Modu Sheriff was on Channels TV last night and he didn't hold back. He said the North will never vote for Peter Obi, even with Kwankwaso as running mate. He also told Atiku to wait till 2031 because Tinubu will complete his eight years. This is the same Sheriff we know from his PDP and APC days, so he knows how the North thinks.

But here is the thing. Sheriff claimed Northerners remember how Obi allegedly worked to push them out of Anambra when he was governor. Whether that is true or exaggerated, it is what people in Kano are telling Kwankwaso right now. They say they will support Kwankwaso alone but not if he teams up with Obi. That is a serious problem for the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.

Personally I think Sheriff is speaking his truth but also playing politics. The North-South rotation argument is convenient for him now. But if the North really cannot vote for Obi because of what happened in Anambra years ago, then that alliance is dead on arrival. Be honest. Do you think Northern voters will actually turn out for Peter Obi in 2027 or is Sheriff just saying what they want to hear?
