Peter Obi is a serial party hopper – Ali Modu Sheriff opens up

Former Borno State governor Ali Modu Sheriff has dropped a heavy one on Peter Obi. Appearing on Channels Television's Politics Today on Monday, Sheriff said Obi cannot stay in any political party that refuses to make him its presidential candidate. According to Sheriff, Obi has already moved through about 20 political parties chasing that ambition.

Sheriff's exact words: "The point is that he, Peter Obi, is a candidate and the last time you invited me here I told you that people like Peter Obi can never be in one political party because he is pursuing an agenda. If he can't be a presidential candidate he would move out." Sheriff also questioned Obi's national loyalty, saying if he himself only believed in Borno State and not Nigeria then he would not be fit to be a Nigerian.

Now this is coming from a man who has also changed parties multiple times. But the question remains — is Peter Obi genuinely building a movement or just shopping for a platform that will give him the ticket? Be honest, how many parties is too many before we start questioning the agenda?
