The death of a Nigerian medical student in a Russian attack on Ukraine has sparked fresh outrage, but the real question is why our citizens keep getting caught in foreign conflicts with no evacuation plan in place. From Sudan to Ukraine, Nigerian students and workers are always left to fend for themselves when war breaks out. When will the government actually protect its own abroad instead of just issuing statements after the bodies are counted?
