I caught my wife's pastor doing something I can't even type

I came home early from work one Thursday because my client meeting got cancelled. My wife told me she was going for evening vigil at her church. I decided to surprise her by picking her up after. When I got to the church, the place was locked. I called her phone, she didn't pick. I called again, nothing. Something just didn't sit right with me.

I waited outside for like 30 minutes, then I saw her coming out from the back of the church with the pastor. Not from the main building, from the pastor's office at the back. Her makeup was smudged, her wrapper was tied differently. The pastor saw me and just turned and walked back inside without saying a word. My wife looked at me and said "baby, I was just praying." I am not a fool.

That night I asked her quietly what was going on. She started crying and confessed that the pastor had been "counseling" her for months. Said he told her our marriage had a spiritual problem that only special sessions could fix. Special sessions indeed. I have not stepped inside that church since. The thing that hurts most is not even the betrayal, it is that she believed him. She really thought he was helping us.
