🔰SergeantRepentant Boko Haram Fighters Are Now Hunting Their Own Comrades for the Nigerian Military
A
The same ex-terrorists who once terrorised communities are now being armed with AK-47s and sent back into the bush to fight alongside soldiers. Former commanders like Ba Modu, who spent nearly two decades leading deadly attacks, now collect monthly stipends to track down their old allies in Sambisa Forest. Is this a smart use of insider knowledge to end the insurgency, or are we just creating a new generation of government-backed militants who know exactly how the military operates?
