APC governors diverting N800bn from FAAC for Tinubu campaign?

SERAP don drag INEC to court over this matter of APC governors allegedly diverting about N800 billion from FAAC money for campaign activities. According to SERAP deputy director Kolawole Oluwadare, the governors dey make monthly deductions from their FAAC allocations into a fund meant to support President Tinubu re-election bid. This is the same money that suppose go to states for development.

If this thing be true, it means our governors are using public funds meant for roads, schools, hospitals to rig elections. SERAP say they want INEC to investigate and make sure transparency dey for campaign financing. The case already filed at Federal High Court Abuja with number FHC/ABJ/CS/1426/2026.

How can a governor be taking money meant for local government areas and using am for campaign? This is why our roads dey bad and schools dey collapse. Who go hold these people accountable before 2027?
