Umahi tells Peter Obi: I don't need to be presidential candidate to educate you

Minister of Works Dave Umahi has fired back at Peter Obi in a way that has got people talking. Addressing journalists at a construction site today, Umahi said he does not need to be a presidential candidate to educate the former Anambra governor on infrastructure.

Umahi said: "I asked my brother, His Excellency Peter Obi, for a debate on what I am doing. He said I am not the presidential candidate. I told him I am on the ballot." He added that being a presidential candidate is not an achievement, saying "I belong a little bit higher than what he belongs to."

The minister also compared Obi to a turtle that has been in its shell until the day it is released. This is a very direct attack from a sitting minister on a former presidential candidate. Am I the only one that thinks Umahi crossed a line here?
