Woke up to see WAEC fee don hit ₦50k from 2027 , I can't

Just saw the news that FG is raising WAEC and NECO fees to ₦50,000 starting from 2027. My immediate reaction was laughter, then I remembered my little cousin in SS2. My auntie is a single mother selling akara on the roadside. How is she supposed to gather ₦50k per subject for one child? Make it make sense.

I remember when I wrote my WAEC in 2020, my mother was complaining about ₦15k for the whole thing. Now it's ₦50k just for registration? And they say education is the key. The key to what exactly? More debt?

I'm genuinely scared for the younger ones coming behind us. If this is not the definition of 'they don't want us to succeed', I don't know what is.
