If a company was registered the same year it won a ₦350 million contract, and the agency awarding it can't produce a single paper to prove due process, what exactly are we paying taxes for? OSOPADEC was asked for contract documents for seven projects worth ₦6.7 billion, and they simply said "we don't have them." Some of these companies were barely a few months old when they landed multi-million naira deals for security checkpoints and road construction. Is this how we develop oil-producing communities, or is this just another round of sharing public funds among friends?
