My landlord said I can't keep my generator in the compound anymore

My landlord just served me a notice this morning. He said my generator is causing noise and disturbing other tenants. I live in a block of six flats in Ikeja. My generator is not even that big, it's just a small Honda that I run for about four hours daily.

I checked the Lagos State Tenancy Law. Section something about quiet enjoyment. But the thing is, the law also says a landlord can set reasonable rules for the property. So where does that leave me? I can't afford to move right now. And I need my generator because NEPA is NEPA.

My friend told me to just keep running it and let him take me to court. But I don't want that stress. Have any of you dealt with this kind of landlord problem before? I'm genuinely confused about what my rights are here.
