Seyi Tinubu more powerful than Shettima? Kwankwasiyya drops truth bomb
4 months ago
Habeeb Saleh Mohammed, the National Spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, has come out openly to say what many of us have been thinking but were afraid to say. In an exclusive interview with Daily Post yesterday, he stated that under the current government, Seyi Tinubu wields more power than Vice President Kashim Shettima. He said, and I quote, "We believe picking him is also a convenience for the President. As far as the President is concerned, his son is even much more powerful in this government than Shettima himself."
Mohammed argued that retaining Shettima for the 2027 ticket does nothing for the APC's electoral chances. He pointed out that the Muslim-Muslim ticket deceived many Northern voters in the last election, but now people have seen the reality. He said, "People have realised that it is not about religion. It is about competence, sincerity and what you intend to do." He also questioned what exactly Shettima has contributed to this administration, saying the Vice President is only sent to public events to do the talking while real decisions are made elsewhere.
Think about it. Shettima is the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but a Kwankwasiyya spokesman can say his boss's son is more powerful and nobody from Aso Rock denies it. That tells you everything. Insecurity in the North has not improved, poverty numbers have not changed, and nobody can point to one thing the Vice President has done to alter the situation. So what exactly is the point of that office now?
