My boyfriend said I 'talk too much' in public and I'm still mad

So we were at this rooftop lounge in VI on Saturday, vibes were nice, music was good. I'm gisting with his friends, telling them about the Davido and Burna Boy situation with the First Lady , you know, how she told them to channel their wealth to help vulnerable Nigerians. Normal conversation.

The guy just looks at me and says, 'You talk too much when we go out, it's not cute.' In front of everybody. I laughed it off but inside I was boiling. I carry myself well, I'm not loud, I'm just social. He said he wants a woman who is 'calm' in public.

I'm still thinking about it this morning. Is it a crime to be a talkative person in 2026? Or is my guy just insecure that I shine brighter than him in a room?
