The President has sent a bill to the House asking them to fast-track constitutional changes for state police, claiming it will fix our security mess. But after decades of federal police failure and governors crying for control, we have to ask: will this actually work, or will state governors just turn police into their personal tools against opponents?Are we ready for state police in Nigeria, or are we about to swap one problem for a bigger one?
