Dangote stop naira sale for fuel, naira drop again , wetin this mean for us?

My people, make I tell una wetin Dangote don do. Since July 13, Dangote Refinery don stop selling petrol, diesel and aviation fuel for naira. Now dem dey sell for dollar. Petrol na $0.779 per litre, diesel na $1.087, aviation fuel na $0.942. You fit calculate am yourself , at current rate of N1,383 per dollar, petrol go cost about N1,077 per litre. Na wah o.

This move don already affect naira. According to CBN data, naira drop by N3.43 for official market on Tuesday, from N1,379.65 to N1,383.08 per dollar. But parallel market naira gain small, from N1,425 to N1,420 per dollar. Even interbank market turnover jump by 182% to $243 million from $86 million. So you see say dollar demand don increase because marketers need to find dollar to buy fuel from Dangote. Industry people say pump price go rise if naira continue to weaken.

I just dey wonder , we get external reserve of $51.85 billion as at July 13, which be 37.75% increase from last year. But with this dollar-based fuel, e no guarantee say naira go steady. Wetin be our own for all this? We just dey manage, God will see us through. Abi una think say dis one go affect transport fare and market prices again?
