Just saw 300 Nigerians coming back from South Africa, that one e choke

I was at the motor park this morning when I heard the news. Over 300 Nigerians on their way back from South Africa. Some of them left everything there, shops, apartments, dreams. They are coming back with nothing but their bodies and their passports.
I dey tell you, this japa life is not for everybody. Some people go abroad and they make it big, I know a guy in Canada who is doing well. But many people go and they suffer in silence. They don't want to come back because of shame. But now South Africa is pushing them out themselves.
My brother told me one story. A man called Chinedu Okafor, he spent 7 years in Johannesburg. He had a small shop in the city centre. He was doing okay until the xenophobia attacks started. His shop was looted twice. He called his wife in Enugu and said, I am coming home. The woman cried. But what else could he do? Naija is hard but at least nobody will burn your shop because of where you come from.
