I don tire for people wey dey compare Wizkid and Davido like dem be twins

My son, I have been watching this Wizkid vs Davido debate since my civil service days and I must say something. These two boys are not the same, they don't even run the same race. Wizkid is the boy wey dey do music for the world, Davido is the boy wey dey carry Nigerian sound everywhere. One man dey sing for international crowd, the other man dey make sure our own people dey dance. Why we dey force them to be competitors when dem dey serve different purposes?

In my time in the ministry, we had a saying: you cannot compare the man wey dey dig well with the man wey dey build bridge. Both dey work, both dey sweat, but the work is not the same. Wizkid don win Grammy, Davido don fill stadiums from Lagos to London. Wizkid dey do his soft boy thing, Davido dey do his party vibe. The Yoruba say: bi oba ti ri ni mo ti n ri, meaning everybody get their own path. So why we dey argue like say only one person fit be king?

Me I just dey sit on my veranda, drink my zobo, and listen to both. But I want to ask you young people one thing: if you had to pick only one artist to represent Nigeria for the next 10 years, who you dey choose?
