I made 150k a month carrying olosho in Enugu and I almost lost my life
4 months ago
It started small. A friend from my department said her "aunty" needed someone to accompany her to a hotel in Enugu, just to make sure she was safe. 10k for one night. I was behind on my rent at the time so I said yes. That was how I became a driver and security for women who sell their bodies.
For six months I was making 150k to 200k monthly just from driving girls to lodges and waiting outside. I saw things. Married men from the government, pastors from big churches, a lecturer from my own faculty. One night a client beat one of the girls so badly she was bleeding from her mouth. I had to rush her to the hospital at 2am. The man paid us 500k to keep quiet.
The night I stopped was when armed robbers attacked us at a lodge near Abakpa. They took everything, the girls, the clients, me. One of them put a gun to my head and asked if I was pimping. I said no, I was just a student. He laughed and said "all of una na the same thing." I left that life the next morning. Some of the girls I worked with are still there. One died last year from complications. I pray for them every Sunday.
