The ADC is demanding an independent probe into the death of physiotherapist Mary Habila at David Umahi’s residence, and asking the minister to temporarily leave office while the facts are established. With the police already involved and Umahi denying any cover-up, the real question is whether the system can investigate itself without executive interference. Can we trust a government that seems more eager to defend reputations than to uncover the truth?
