Atiku calls for Umahi to step aside over Mary Habila's death

Atiku Abubakar, the ADC presidential candidate, has demanded that the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, step aside immediately over the death of his staff, Mary Habila, in his residence. This is a direct challenge to the government's handling of the matter, and Atiku is not mincing words.

In his statement today, Atiku said Nigerians will lose confidence in the government if Umahi does not step down. He pointed out that no autopsy has been conducted and the case is still being handled within Ebonyi State, where Umahi was once governor. He called for the case to be transferred to the Force Headquarters in Abuja for an independent investigation.

Atiku stated clearly, 'I make no pronouncement on anyone's guilt or innocence. That is precisely the point. Only a credible, independent, and transparent investigation can establish the truth.' President Tinubu must act now. How can we trust a system that investigates itself within the same state where the accused was governor? Who is protecting who here?
