Senate Says They Can't Investigate Because Court Is Already Handling It , So Who Watches The Watchers?

The Senate rejected a second attempt to probe the PFIPC scandal, hiding behind the excuse that the matter is now in court and the executive is already investigating. But if our lawmakers can't hold anyone accountable when the executive moves first, then what is the point of legislative oversight in Nigeria? Is this really about avoiding a conflict with the judiciary, or just another way to dodge a politically inconvenient truth?
