I borrowed money from my mother's church offering to pay school fees

Last semester I was short on school fees by about 120k. My mother is a widow, she sells tomatoes at Oja Oba market in Akure. I could not tell her I was short because she would have sold her wrapper or gone to beg her church members.

One Sunday I went to her church with her. After service she was greeting people and I saw the offering bowl just sitting on the table near the door. Nobody was watching. I walked past and collected some notes. It was 85k. I paid my fees that week.

My mother has been praying for God to expose whoever stole the church money. She cries sometimes saying the church is suffering because of one wicked person. I just dey look at her and nod. I cannot tell her it was me. I tell myself I will pay it back when I graduate but I don know if God dey see am the same way I see am.
