NSP says Mary Habila not a registered physiotherapist — contradicts Umahi's claim

The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy has dropped a bombshell. They say Mary Habila, the young woman who died at Minister David Umahi's residence in Ebonyi, is not listed in their database of registered physiotherapists. This directly contradicts what Umahi's team told Nigerians — that she was a physiotherapist on secondment to the Federal Ministry of Works.

The NSP released a statement yesterday after verifying through regulatory channels. They said, 'The name Mary Habila, as stated, does not appear on the database of registered physiotherapists.' They also called out public officials for making claims without proper verification. Umahi had insisted through his SSA on Media, Francis Nwaze, that Habila and another woman, Anita Baski, were employees of David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences seconded to the ministry for three years.

So which version is true? A minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria telling the country that a deceased person in his home was a registered professional, or the professional body itself saying otherwise. How many layers of cover-up are we dealing with here?
