Minister Umahi finally speaks on Mary Habila's death, orders autopsy

Minister of Works David Umahi has finally broken his silence on the death of Mary Habila, the nurse who died on June 27 at his staff quarters in Uburu, Ebonyi State. In a briefing with journalists in Abuja yesterday, Umahi said there is enough evidence about how Mary died, and her boyfriend has also revealed their last conversation before her death.

Umahi stated he has ordered an autopsy to determine the real cause of death, but Mary's family has filed an affidavit opposing it, citing cultural beliefs. Her father, Tanko Habila Wisdom, said in the affidavit that they do not suspect foul play and want her body released for burial without further investigation.
