I borrowed ₦150k from my best friend and ghosted her for 2 years

I told Chidinma my mother was sick and needed surgery. She didn't even ask questions. Just transferred the money same day. I used it to pay my rent because I was ashamed to tell her I had been evicted.

For 2 years I avoided her calls. Blocked her on WhatsApp. Changed my number twice. I saw her at a mutual friend's wedding last December and she just looked at me and walked past. No drama. Just walked.

I paid her back last month with interest. She took the money but she said 'Chi-Chi, you broke my heart, not my bank account.' I think about that sentence every day.
