She just became the first female African artist to hit Diamond status in the US with 'Wait For U,' joining Wizkid as the only two Africans ever to do it. But when our biggest achievements come from collaborations with American artists, are we really being recognised for our own sound, or just used as a feature? How many more barriers does African talent have to break before the industry stops treating us as the exception?
