My cousin's wife sent him a resignation letter this morning

Wallahi, I am still processing this one. My cousin, Aliyu, he is a good man but he has this habit of treating his wife like she is one of his junior staff. He talks to her anyhow, especially when his friends are around. Yesterday he embarrassed her in front of his colleagues at a barbecue. Called her useless because the meat was dry.

This morning she printed a formal resignation letter. On proper letterhead. She wrote that she is resigning from her position as his wife effective immediately. She listed her grievances like they were bullet points in a performance review. Aliyu is walking around the house looking confused. He called me asking if she is serious.

From where I sit in Abuja, I think she is very serious. The letter was typed and signed. She even added a line about forfeiting her leave allowance. Masha Allah.
