The way Lagos men say 'I'm coming' and disappear for 3 hours

My guy called me yesterday, said 'babe I'm coming, just dropping something for my mum.' That was 4pm. By 7pm I'm calling, he says 'I'm still on the way, small traffic.' Baby, you are in Lekki phase 1, your mum lives in Surulere. What traffic takes 3 hours??

I swear if I hear 'I'm coming' one more time I'll scream. It's the biggest lie since 'I'll send the money tomorrow.' They say it with full chest too, like we don't know the code.

Shey you dey mad? At this point 'I'm coming' just means 'I'll get back to you in 2027.' Who else has been victimized by this? 😭
