Gbajabiamila grilled by ICPC over PFIPC scandal today
4 months ago
Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, was at the ICPC headquarters in Abuja today answering questions about the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council scandal. His lawyer Jiti Ogunye confirmed he appeared around 3pm and cooperated fully before returning to work.
This is the same PFIPC that was supposed to attract foreign investment but ended up smelling like a slush fund. Tinubu ordered the investigation on July 2, giving ICPC 30 days to finish. Now the big question is whether this probe will actually name names or just bury the whole thing quietly.
Gbajabiamila says he acted on presidential directive. But who really set up PFIPC and what was the money supposed to do? If the Chief of Staff is being questioned, something must be very wrong somewhere.
