Kwankwaso says Peter Obi will defeat Tinubu in 2027 – is this real or just noise?

Rabiu Kwankwaso came out yesterday on Channels TV Politics Today and said Peter Obi and the NDC will beat Bola Tinubu in 2027. He was very confident about it. He said go to Wuse Market and Sabon Gari in Kano, even Ibadan, and you will see the support growing. He said the election will produce surprises in favour of the NDC.

Now I like Kwankwaso as a politician but I have to ask – is this just campaign talk or does he actually have the numbers? The NDC is still a new party and merging two big followerships is not as easy as saying it on TV. We saw what happened in 2023 when the Labour Party had momentum but no structure. The same problem could happen again.

I think this is Kwankwaso trying to keep his relevance and keep the North interested. But if Peter Obi really wants to win, he needs more than market sentiment. He needs a real coalition that can deliver votes. Be honest, do you actually believe this will happen or is it just political gbas gbos?
