If you inherited N75tn in debt and today it's N155tn, but they say only a fraction is new borrowing , the rest is just naira crashing and accounting tricks , does that make you feel better or worse? The minister says the real new borrowing is "nowhere near" what people think. So whose job is it to explain this properly, and why does it always feel like Nigerians are being gaslit about their own country's finances?
