So the Berom Youth-Moulders are saying over 130 communities in Plateau have been taken over and occupied by Fulani people, while MACBAN insists no community is occupied. Both sides can't be right, and the pattern has been the same for over two decades: attacks, killings, displacement, then new occupants who make it a no-go area for the original owners. With no clear motive ever established for these attacks, and claims of reprisals often turning out to be cooked-up stories, what will it take for Nigerians to get the truth about what is really happening on the Plateau?
